Adonis Village: Request for External Change – Unit G2 Description of proposed external change: Installation of 14 roof-mounted photovoltaic modules manufactured by German firm Bauer Solartechnik. Installation of 1 x wall mounted inverted by ZCS Azzurro inside garage area. All cables will be ran internal in the house. So no equipment or cables on the side walls of the house. No panels will extend beyond the edge of the roof line. And all panels will be installed directly over my house, causing minimum disruption to my neighbours. Dimensions and sizes of external changes: Each Panel = 172cm x 113cm x 3cm Colours and style of materials to be used: Standard dark colour like other PV installs in the village. Appropriate netting around the sides to prevent birds from building nests under panels. Images or plans of site where external change will be made: Any images from suppliers of materials to be used:

This commment is unpublished.Hi Paul. Your drawing appears not drawn to scale. The 4 horizontal panels closest to the ridge line are drawn with a different width to the others. Please would you ask your proposed supplier to supply a scale drawing of the proposed installation which you could then submit to support this ECR application? This will confirm to the committee and to other owners that all 14 panels will not breach any of the roof lines in any direction. I also presume that you meant the thickness of the panels to be 30mm, not 30cm. Many thanks, Warren (AV committee)

This commment is unpublished.Hi Warren,The drawing is just a hand drawing and it is not to scale. The bottom panels are in a different orientation to the top ones. I have attached the drawing supplied by the supplier. I assure you that no panel will extends beyond the roof line. And yes the thickness is 3cm not 30cm. My apologies. Regards Paul

This commment is unpublished. The AV Management Committee has evaluated the above planning request and has concluded that it should be APPROVED subject to any objection from owners in the next 28 days and the following CONDITIONS: (1) CONSENT from all G block neighbours is obtained to use the shared roof, (2) None of the PV Panels should protrude above or beyond the line of any ridge or hip tile. Nor below the lowest roof tile when viewed from the ground. (3) Any and all required legal permits are obtained from any required authority, (4) The installation is professionally fitted by a suitably accredited and/or regulated supplier.
It is further ADVISED that anti-bird devices/spikes are used to prevent any bird nesting beneath the panels causing bird excrement on surrounding patios and roofing.
